| Hearts | Minds | Hands |

These times are calling us to map new stories.

Canter Communications Studio (CCS) partners with individuals, organizations, and initiatives to inspire and design stories and spaces that build coalitions and capacity in support of a culture where all "flourishing is mutual."

The stories we tell ourselves and each other are the roots of culture, and reflect our relationships. Our goal is to work with you to re-frame narratives to re-form stories that measure success by human and planetary health. We support your work to establish goals at any scale in support of a culture rooted in narratives such as reciprocity, gratitude, and compassion.

Our individual and collective work is dependent upon the re-integration of our hearts and minds so we may heal and re-pattern what global empires and neoliberalism have taken from us. Canter Communications Studio exists to support the work of creating intentional spaces to re-write the story to include narratives based on hope and abundance replacing narratives of scarcity and fear.

With more than three decades of experience in interpersonal and organizational communications, CCS works with finely crafted tools and processes to support your leadership as you change your story, by changing the narratives. At the end of the day, we humans make meaning from words, which make up stories, which come from the dominant narratives. Today our narratives are formed by a culture dominated by extraction and consumption practices that are harmful to human and planetary health.

Let's slow down together to:
Listen to your heart - what are you being called to do?*
Consider your experiences - what does the world need from you?*
Re-attune your heart + mind - what are the narratives that will change you and the world?
*Adapted from theologian Howard Thurman

"We build our identities around stories. It is a big deal to take away old stories, or be told your story is wrong. And yet, we are made of stories. If we are going to change or destabilize the stories [that no longer serve the wellbeing of people or the planet] we must map our way out of this time with new stories."  ~Naomi Klein

What clients are saying:

Brittany S.,
coaching client

My time with Nadine greatly helped me find the confidence to re-enter the workforce and pursue positions of interest. She assisted me in editing my resume so I had the best shot at the position I was after.

Nadine is insightful, supportive, and affirming, while at the same time strategic and straightforward. This unique combination of qualities makes her a valued advisor for anyone seeking to transform their life's work. I’ve known her for nearly two decades, worked with her on an organizational level (Middlebury Natural Foods Co-op Board), and can attest to her talent and vision.

Nadine brings a multidisciplinary lens, an open heart, and a depth of experience as a life-long collaborator, consultant, educator, and coach to her advising. She enlivens any career crossroads with gifts of curiosity and enthusiasm, helping to guide values, interests, and opportunities into alignment.

If I had to use three words to describe Nadine, I would say, calming, down-to-earth, and organized. If you are not sure about a decision you need to make, Nadine is a perfect person to walk through it with. She was one of my professors in a very hectic class, and her organization helped us not only make sure what got done, was done, but that we took care of ourselves in the process.

I have collaborated with Nadine for more than 15 years. She has worked with multiple initiatives including New Perennials, Sustainability Practices on Campus, and Beyond Bretton Woods 2024. She builds and sustains relationships that make complex topics and programs come to life in ways that exceed our goals and imaginations.

Nadine is an intuitive advisor providing a unique ability to connect, listen and help you uncover your interests and passions. She provides unique contextual support to help you reach your career, life and self care goals.  Her questions are thoughtful, her discoveries are magical. Your conversations will be illuminating.

'I am always the student and sometimes the teacher, thus I am always learning. What I receive from both mostly aligns with what I give, and always reflects my learning aperture. I define learning aperture as the volume at which we experience extraneous interference or noise in our hearts/minds/bodies based on what we hold. This determines our presencing - how we show up in our totality for ourselves, all beings, and the planet.'
